The Aims of Recapibaribe
The Recapibaribe project aims to clean up Recife's main river - Rio Capibaribe - and to raise awareness of the damage people are doing by polluting it.
The Problems
Rio Capibaribe is a central part of the community of Recife. Many people rely on it for their livelihood and entertainment. However it is extremely polluted by people's trash and sewerage, and many people of Recife do not realise the damage this pollution is doing to the environment and the river.
What we do
Project Recapibaribe will be presenting proposals to the state, and taking all necessary actions to ensure the conservation of this river and the surrounding environment, and to ensure it is taken into account for town planning.
